BLS for Healthcare Providers
Course Description: The BLS for Healthcare Providers Course covers core material such as adult and pediatric CPR (including two-rescuer scenarios and use of the bag mask), foreign-body airway obstruction, and automated external defibrillation. CEU's are available for this course upon request.
Course Length: 4.0 Hours Approx.
Intended Audience: For healthcare providers such as EMS personnel, physician assistants, doctors, dentists, nurses, and respiratory therapists who must have a credential (card) documenting successful completion of a CPR course.

Heartsaver CPR
Course Description: The Heartsaver CPR Course teaches CPR and relief of choking in adults and children, and infant CPR and relief of choking, and use of barrier devices for all ages.
Course Length: 3 Hours Approx
Intended Audience: For those who have a duty to respond to a cardiac emergency because of job responsibilities or regulatory requirements.

Course Description: The Heartsaver First Aid Course teaches how to manage illness and injuries in the first few minutes until professional help arrives. Course content includes General Principles, Medical Emergencies, and Injury Emergencies. Optional topics include CPR and AED, and Environmental Emergencies.
Course Length: First Aid Only: 3.5 Hours Approx - All Modules: 5.0 Hours Approx
Intended Audience: For those who have a duty to respond to a first aid or cardiac emergency because of job responsibilities or regulatory requirements.

Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid
Course Description: The Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid Course teaches how to manage illness and injuries in a child in the first few minutes until professional help arrives. Topics include First Aid Basics, Medical Emergencies, Injury Emergencies, Environmental Emergencies, Optional First Aid Topics, and CPR and AED.
Course Length: 3.5 Hours Approx - (Without Infant CPR) 5.0 Hours Approx
Intended Audience: For those involved in child care who have a duty to respond to a first aid emergency because of job responsibilities or regulatory requirements, such as child care workers, teachers, foster care workers, camp counselors, youth organizations, and coaches for childrens' sports organizations.

AHA Instructor Course
Course Description: American Heart Association
BLS Instructor Course
This program will provide you with the knowledge and skills necessary to begin teaching all levels of American Heart Association BLS CPR and First Aid Programs.
Candidates must meet the following:
1. Instructor candidates must possess a current AHA Healthcare Provider CPR card.
2. Candidate will need to complete the online version on AHA’s HCP Instructor course.
3. Candidate must shadow at least 2 AHA classes post course.
4. Candidate will prepare and conduct a BLS course as a lead instructor.
5. Candidates are expected to teach 4 classes every 2 years to remain current and attend any required update courses offered by AHA.
In order to function as an instructor with the American Heart Association (AHA), all instructors must be aligned with an AHA authorized Training Center. Training Centers are organizations who have met specific requirements of the AHA and serve to support instructors and the programs they teach.
It is required that you first contact the participating TC by phone or email to see if they are currently accepting applications for new instructors. If they agree to accept you as an instructor candidate you must then complete a Training Center Alignment Application.
Course Length: 16 hours
Intended Audience: Anyone willing and has the desire to teach in accordance with the scientific and program guidelines of the AHA
